An elder woman from Abasan named Sharifa Qudieh, was injured by Israeli soldiers, who bombed her family then forced her to sit as a human shield while injured in February 2024.
One of the soldiers, a reservist named Shahar Dvir took a photo of the despondent Sharifa in that chair, detained, bleeding, bewildered. He did so, of course, without her permission.

That photo has won a major award in Israel, hailed a a work of “art,” and was selected for display at the ‘Eretz Israel’ Museum in Tel Aviv.

This “photographer” bombed her family, injured her, forced her into position as a human shield, took a photos of her before kidnapping her (she was later released, utterly traumatized, in the exchange deal), and Israeli high society thought his work was high art deserving of awards and prominent display.
