Israeli Jews love to boast about how warlike and tough they are. Wonder what they would think of their pommie counterparts having panic attacks when faced with “antisemitic” biscuits.
The early native-born “Israelis” often referred to themselves as the “sabra” – a prickly pear cactus – seeing themselves as tough, self-reliant, and strong. This “New Jew” was created as an antithesis to the perceived image of the “Diaspora Jew,” who was seen by some in early Israeli society as a perpetual victim, passively going to their death during the Holocaust.
Only the usefulness of the Holocaust in creating an “antisemitism” shield for Israel’s behaviour against Palestinians, saw this view eventually being exploited and popularised by Jewish organisations.
Of course once Israel embarked on a genocidal response to October 7, they cancelled out the Nazi genocide . Hard to wax lyrical about a genocide that occurred 80 years ago, while Israel is engaged in the mass slaughter, rape and torture of the Palestine people.

Reed said this was a case of “teaching children things that are antisemitic” and the government must “understand where this is coming from and root it out right at the source”.
Reed also expressed his frustration at the police response.
He said: “The police didn’t even come when we called the police. I had my neighbours out there shouting at them because they were scaring their children. I had a member of my family vomiting down the toilet in fear.”
