Gladys to (then secret boyfriend) MP Daryl Maguire: “I’ve already got you the Wagga hospital,” she assures him. “I just spoke to Dom [Perrottet] and I just said put the 140 in the budget and he goes ‘no worries’. He just does what I ask him to, so it’s fine.” Corrupt or crucified? The Gladys Berejiklian saga shows that corruption commissions are a powerful thing | Hugh Riminton | The Guardian

Corporations look after their own

“Perrottet and his family will move to Washington DC later this month after he accepted an executive role with mining giant BHP.

“Dom Perrottet will be coming back, and to federal politics – there’s no doubt about it,” Baird said. “Prime minister Perrottet has a very good ring to it.” Perrottet for prime minister? Mike Baird says yes | Bevan Shields | SMH

A comment from grumpyon sums up Perrottet’s “performance” well.

“Why would anyone want Perrottet as PM? Unless of course you have profited from the fire sale of public assets. Perrottet’s time in parliament has provided no benefit for the people of NSW.

His legacy…

  • The financial engineering and mismanagement of iCare and TAHE.
  • Privatisation of power generation and distribution.
  • Privatisation of public transport.
  • Privatisation by stealth of public education.
  • Westconnex.
  • The financial engineering of transport infrastructure and worker’s compensation.
  • The sale of social housing for private profit.
  • The failure to add to public housing stock, and the deterioration of existing stock.
  • The dumbing down of TAFE, with the result that the economy remains dependent on skilled migrants.”

I’d add his roll as “bagman” for Gladys and the Catholic cemetery fiasco too.
